Clooney's new best friend

Online news sites such as FARK.com, TMZ.com, and NYdailynews.com and The Canadian Press reported today that Barack Obama takes George Clooney's "breath away."

Clooney compared the Presidential hopeful to a rockstar.

George reportedly gave the Obama campaign an undisclosed amount of money at a fundraiser in February.

While this story was not carried by major news networks or newspapers, it struck me as fascinating, seeing as Clooney is a rockstar in his own right (err...I would say he's an "actstar"). For Clooney to say that a presidential hopeful takes his breath away says a lot-- about Clooney's humility, and about Obama's presence.

I still don't think I'd want a rockstar to become President. It's all fine and good a President has a strong persona, but to me, it matters little what he looks like, and more what he thinks.

I wonder how far Clooney's endorsement will carry Obama.
